There Is A Blessing In Obedience!

I am sure like me, many of you have heard this expression. I am not even sure who came up with the expression. It is clearly derived from Biblical Principles, but not an exact quote to the best of my knowledge. Yet, it remains true just the same.

There is another Expression that is maybe not as well known:

"If you take care of His business, He'll take care of yours."

Over the last 3 days, I have seen both come absolutely true in my life. All because I was obedient to two Divine Instructions. The thing about it is we never know when these things will manifest. Our job is to just walk in obedience, regardless.

About five-and-a-half to six years ago I received an instruction from the Lord that has become one of my Ministry Mandates or Assignments:

"It is time for you to do for others what Leo (my Father) did for you."

I set out to do this, not knowing what I was doing or how it would manifest. Today that Mandate or Assignment is in full swing as I am pouring my life into many proteges, sons, and daughters.

Around the same time period as the first instruction, I received a second Mandate or Assignment, which was to promote and support women in ministry. When God gave this to me, He floored me when He said:

"In the Communion Passage in 1 Corinthians 11 where it talks about: 'for this reason, many among you are weak, and sick, or sleep (die prematurely); for not judging the Lord's Body rightly'...this would befall many male ministers and leaders for how they have treated women in ministry...they have not judged the Lord's Body Rightly!"

Obviously, this shook me to my core! I certainly did not want to be guilty of this! Perhaps because it was spoken to me so emphatically is why I am so passionate about this.

Even as Paul said in his defense before King Agrippa in Acts 26, "I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision." I have been running to fulfill both of these as many that know me intimately can attest to.

To be perfectly honest, I have not focused on getting blessed, I have focused on being obedient to the Assignments or Mandates. But I am absolutely convinced that because I have taken care of His Business, He is taking care of mine.

Over the last 3 days, money has begun to flow into my ministry from unexpected sources that I never saw coming. Seeking money or arm-twisting folks to give to my ministry has never been my way. I am much more consumed with fulfilling my assignment than chasing money. But as the Old Expression goes:

There Is A Blessing In Obedience!
