Function In Your Metron
A short, quick, basic, working definition of the word Metron is in order. Literally a Metron (from the Greek) is a measure, but in the context of how we use it in Ecclesia, it is a measure of one's sphere of authority.
It is not uncommon for those of us in ministry to be very ambitious. In fact many of us are very passionate and driven for more, greater, and the next level or sphere or influence. We have become so opposed to the "Status Quo" that we will just push and push because we are not content to "stay" and feel that if we are not advancing, we are actually going backwards.

Right or wrong, this is how many of us think. Of course we should never be satisfied. Jesus said: "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." So living in a state of "Divine Dissatisfaction" is a good thing.
That being said, we do have some other Scriptures, Principles, and Protocols to consider. We must balance our drive and ambition with: " For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think..."
The truth of the matter is Scripture teaches: "If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones." As well as: "And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?"
There must be a balance between these two extremes. We need a healthy and realistic appraisal of where we are in our development and what our sphere of Metron actually is. Nothing worse than living the reality of the parable that Jesus told:
“When you are invited to a wedding feast, don’t sit in the seat of honor. What if someone who is more distinguished than you has also been invited? The host will come and say, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then you will be embarrassed, and you will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table!
“Instead, take the lowest place at the foot of the table. Then when your host sees you, he will come and say, ‘Friend, we have a better place for you!’ Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
Sometimes we do think that we are at a Metron that we are not at yet. As we live out the principles of starting with smaller or lesser and/or someone else's we grow into something larger and that which is our own. Our Metron can grow.
If we do not have a National Platform, it is not wise to act, think, or project that we do. If our metron is Local, it is Local. If our Metron is Regional, it is Regional. if our Metron is Territorial, it is Territorial.
We must learn to operate in the Metron where we are. Our anointing and mantle is in accordance with our Metron. A National Metron Requires A National Mantle. Your Mantle will help you discern your Metron.
Function where you are with your current Mantle in your current Metron, and through Faithfulness and Humility allow both your Mantle and Metron grow...but until it does...be content to Function In Your Metron.
